The Annual Feminist Leadership Institute was held in Mombasa, Kenya from 15-20 August, 2011. The theme for the institute was ‘strenthening sisterhood/kuimarisha udada which aimed at strengthening young women’s influence in social justice movements in East Africa. The training comprised two distinctive consultative processes; Feminist Leadership & Personal Development and Strategy for Engagement in Social Movements for positive transformation. my desire is to understand where and in what ways,leaders women are participating in the response, the opportunities for and challenges to their participation and strategies that can be fully implemented and steps taken to advance their participation at all levels to ensure that the response to women leaders reflects womens priorities and needs.women leaders and the upcoming ones should be given space to express their ability.young women,bring ur voices at the table.remember if ur not on the table ur on the menue
